Albi Carnival 2025: a month of festivities

A spectacular opening with the carnival

From Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2.30pm, the Carnival kicks off in style with the opening of the funfair on Place Lapérouse. Rides, food stalls and thrill-seeking attractions will amaze young and old alike. This event marks the start of the festivities, and will remain open throughout the Carnival.

Le Samedi 22 février à 18h, un moment symbolique aura lieu à l’Hôtel de Ville : la remise des clés de la ville à la Reine du Carnaval, Ambre Sarroche. Cet événement officiel marque le lancement des grandes festivités et plonge Albi dans l’ambiance unique du Carnaval.

The first grand parade of floats

On Sunday February 23 at 2pm, the city lights up in Carnival colors with the first big float parade. As every year, volunteers and artists compete in creativity to design colorful floats with a variety of themes. Costumed and accompanied by brass bands, the participants will wander through the streets of the town center to the delight of spectators.

Carnaval des enfants: a day dedicated to the very young

On Wednesday, February 26 at 2:30 p.m., it’s time for the little ones with the “Carnaval des enfants“. On the program: entertainment and shows from Place du Vigan to Place Sainte-Cécile. An event designed to ensure that younger children can also enjoy the festive atmosphere.

A second parade to close in style

Finally, on Sunday March 2 at 2 p.m., a second parade of floats will bring the festivities to a fitting close. If you missed the first one or would like to relive the experience, this is a day not to be missed.
