Release of Gaillac Primeur

Sortie du Primeur Gaillac

When the beautiful autumn season sets in, it’s the end of the Indian summer, the days get shorter and the Gaillacois winemakers are ready to present us with the culmination of their year’s work. A specific date? Gaillac Primeur is always released on the third Thursday in November. The party continues until Sunday, November 20, 2023.

Gaillac Primeur is a wine for sharing, conviviality and shared pleasure. The Gaillac vineyard is one of the oldest in France, with 400 winegrowers working every day to preserve their terroirs.

The Gaillac Primeur outing is also an opportunity to visit the many architectural sites, such as the Abbey of Saint-Michel, the many pigeon lofts, the bastides, the vineyard cabins… and to celebrate the end of the harvest by enjoying a pleasant and enjoyable weekend!

The municipality of Gaillac will officially launch the release of Gaillac Primeur on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 8pm with a municipal event at the Salle des Spectacles entitled “La Nuit du Primeur”.

The evening will bring together institutional players, associations, retailers…. and the confrérie de la Dive Bouteille du Gaillacois, with the dignitaries tapping the 1st barrel of Gaillac Primeur.

An evening rich in entertainment (magician, meal, music…) for a wild night with the group Mezzo Project.
